10 night/11 day holiday, fishing for King Salmon in Kamchatka

The month of June, stretching into the early part of July, is the best time to catch yourself a King Salmon on the Bolshaya River in Kamchatka. Weighing in at up to 60Kg these fish are a worthy target and will test your skill as well as your tackle.
You will almost certainly also catch other game fish including Char, Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling.
We fish from the shore or from boats near to the confluence of the Bystraya and Plotnikova Rivers, spending the evenings back at a base camp with many of the comforts of home.
Day 1: Arrival Day
After everyone has arrived in Petropavlovsk, we will transfer you by car the 200Km to the Bolshaya River. A 30 minute boat ride will then complete the journey to the Tent Camp where you will be based for the next week or so. Depending upon flight times, there may be a chance to get fishing before dark.

Day 2 to Day 8: Fishing for King Salmon, and more

King Salmon are not the only exotic species on offer. The first Chum will be coming upriver and provide some variety. There may be some Sockeye Salmon too, and these pose a real challenge. Rainbow Trout, Char and Arctic Grayling are to be found in numbers and will give you good sport on lighter tackle.
Evenings are social; a great chance to exchange tips and tales with your guides and fellow anglers.
