Your Mission is simple: Catch Mahseer - the bigger the better

6 night/7 day holiday, fishing for Mahseer in India

A Golden Mahseer takes a spoon on the Ken River

This short holiday makes the most of your precious time by getting you straight to the action. The choice of venue is by no means second rate. Fish approaching 60 kilograms have been taken recently so you had better hold your rod tight.

We recognise that a short trip can be quite demanding so this fishing holiday avoids unnecessary travel as much as possible and includes a few additional comforts so that that you are not too tired to enjoy your sport.

Day 1: Arrival Day

You will be transferred from Khajuraho Airport (Code: HJR) to our accommodation on the Ken River. After lunch you should be ready to get fishing on the Ken River within the Panna Tiger Reserve.

Please note: There are currently two morning flights taking two and a half hours from New Delhi (Airport code: DEL) which should suit long haul arrivals on the same day as these are mostly in the early hours. If you cannot get information for other international portals then check with us for suggestions.

Meals: Lunch as appropriate. Dinner from the camp kitchen

Drive: 20 kilometres, under one hour

Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 2 to Day 6: Fishing for Mahseer

The next five days are mostly about fishing for Mahseer.

There will be a variety of fishing options. Sometimes you will fish from boats, sometimes from the shore. You will always be accompanied by local fishing guides with expert knowledge of the river and the best techniques for each situation.

There is plenty of other action to keep you interested. Try catching at least a few exotic species to add to your tally.

Please note: All fishing is on a Catch & Release basis. We will provide hook removers and special nets to aid this policy. Please be prepared by bringing barbless tackle with no more than two sets of triple hooks so as to avoid unnecessary damage to the fish.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner from the camp kitchen

Drive: Local transfers as necessary

Accommodation: Guesthouse

Day 7: Depart for home

For many, there will be a transfer back to Khajuraho Airport for a domestic flight, with an international flight home to follow.

You can always extend your stay in India with us. Just give us a rough idea of what you would like to do.
