Since the main purpose of your fishing holiday is to catch fish we had better give you some information what to expect so that you can prepare accordingly.

For each species we offer you some background information, some idea of size and recommendations for tackle. The Fishing Tackle and Fishing Equipment Checklist reiterates much of this information in a more concise form to aid your final packing.

We have prepared this information for each destination. In the main page we list the fish species that will attract the most attention. Some of these will be caught all through the relevant fishing season; others may only be caught in particular seasons or on particular fishing holidays. Such details are noted here as well as in the trip itineraries.
